Controller Configurator

Blueprinting and functionality was the most work behind this project. I imitated xbox's own configurator to see how close i could get to theirs, and learn where my limits were to level up my skills.

Rotate with mouse
To rotate the controller with the mouse was the most work to make it good. I came up with problems like the controller couldnt rotate in all directions in all positions.

Blueprint of the rotate with mouse function

This blueprint checks if the left mouse button is pressed and reads the mouse movement on both X and Y axes. The movement values are converted into rotation using "Combine Rotators" and applied to the controllers "Relative Rotation". Horizontal mouse movement controls yaw, and vertical controls pitch.

I made an array for every part on the controller that could be changed and turned off the visibility on the joystick that wasn't selected. Thought it was a great idea so the user could get more options to make the controller they wanted.

I used functions to switch between colors. And the functions connects to “On Clicked” events, which are located on the color buttons and my reference for my parts.

I used Custom Events to make the controller rotate to the selected part with a button click. Used a lerp for a specific position my controller would rotate to if I pressed on the button for that position.
